That’s it, we’ve finally decided on our new travel challenge:
Visit all the countries in the EU before Britain leaves the EU.
With Brexit on the way in March 2019, and lots of uncertainty at this point as to what this will look like for the UK and current EU countries, it seems like a perfect opportunity for a challenge.
Different to Europe, the EU has a smaller number of countries to visit, making it perfect to complete within the time constraints. Below are all the current countries with the EU.
Between Adam and I, we’ve visited all but:
- Belgium (That’s more me)
- Portugal (Again, me)
- Bulgaria (That’s Adam)
Luckily, last Black Friday, I got busy with booking lots and lots of different flights so we’re off to Lithuania, Luxembourg and Bulgaria in the next few months. We just need to book the rest.
With just a little more than 12 months to complete, I think we have time to do this but might mean we have a fair few city breaks or ‘in a day‘ breaks for some destinations. So I’ve started my bullet journal list to support this and to keep track of what’s booked, when and to go.
Anyway, wish us luck and we’ll share updates along the way.
